Kejohanan BolaSepak 8 Sepasukan Anjuran Sekolah Sukan akan diadakan pada 18 September 2011 hari Ahad bertempat di padang dan balapan Sekolah Sukan.

Perlawanan akan bermula pada jam 8.00 pagi hingga selesai. Pasukan- pasukan yang terlibat adalah terdiri daripada:-

1. Pasukan Daerah Brunei-Muara
2. Pasukan Daerah Belait
3. Pasukan Daerah Tutong
4. Pasukan Temburong
5. Royal Brunei Recreational Club
6. Pasukan Muara Villa
7. Pasukan Sekolah Sukan A
8. Pasukan Sekolah Sukan B

Sila datang beramai-ramai dan sokonglah pasukan-pasukan yang akan bertanding pada hari itu.

Silent Reading Programme kicks off at Sports School

Another undying effort from the Academic Department of Sports School Administration has seen around 120 students having their first Silent Reading Programme on the 4th of April, 2011. This effort is a collaboration between English Language Department and the Sports Science Department of the school which aims at enhancing students skills in reading and to inculcate the reading culture within the school compound, The programme runs for 15 mins every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. So far, the feedbacks have been very good coming from the students.

Kejohanan ini dianjurkan oleh Sekolah Sukan, Kementerian Pendidikan yang akan berlangsung pada 10hb February 2011 di Empire Hotel dan Country Club, Jerudong.

Kejohanan ini dibukakan pada para pemain remaja yang tidak melebihi had umur yang dibenarkan mengikut kategori seperti berikut:

• kategori A - (13 ke 16 tahun) (lelaki)
• kategori B - (17 ke 21 tahun) (lelaki)
• kategori C - ( 15 ke 20 tahun) (perempuan)

~ Talks on RTB i-Citizen ~

On January 26th, two officers from KKBS came to Sekolah Sukan to conduct a program called i-Citizen. The objective of the program was to showcase the achievement and success stories of Bruneian as inspiration for the youth.

The messages focus on patriotism, environment conservation, caring society, future leaders and examplary Bruneian.

On January 18th, forty students and ten coaches went to Narcotics Control Bureau to hear a motivational talk by one of Liverpool football club's legend Steve McMahon. During the session, Steve remind all the students to abide by the motto 'No Drugs at all times' and not just for sports enhancement but also in doing recreational activities as well.

The students and coaches had the opportunity to tour the anti-drug mini gallery and signed autograph and took group photos with him.

~ New 8th Intake ~

Sunday January 16th, a few selected students registered Sekolah Sukan. They were chosen based on their sports capabilities during the Sekolah Sukan 'open day' 2010.

On the next day, the new students had their orientation.

On Sunday 23rd, the senior students had organised one whole fun day for the new intake students at the Pantai Muara. This was the end of the new students orientation day.
