Olympic Day Run 2010

On Sunday morning June 20th, the Olympic Day Run was held at the Indoor Stadium and ended at the National Stadium. The run was organised by the Youth and Sports Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The Olympic Day Run is held every June 23rd to commemorate the birth of Modern Olympic on June 23rd, 1894 in Paris.
It was launched by the HRH Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah, Prisident of Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council. Some of our Sports School students joined the event.

Queen's Baton Relay 2010

A few selected students from Sports School joined the Brunei Young National Athletes in the Queen's Baton Relay 2010 which was held on June 9th 2010. Brunei Darussalam was the 65th destination for the Q.B.R team, before it left for Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, its 66th Stop.

The Queen's Baton Relay (Q.B.R) is one of the great traditions of the Commonwealth Games. It symbolizes the gathering of the people from across the Commonwealth at a four yearly festival of sport and culture. Q.B.R have been the curtain raiser to every games since Cardiff, Wales in 1958.

The 19th Commonwealth Games will be held from 3rd - 14th October 2010 in New Delhi, India.
